Fairisle mad

Up north has witnessed the first Winter snowflakes and so it has got me a festive & cosy mood. Winter is my favourite time of year; with dark nights, cold air, log fires, snuggly clothes and lots of eating who can resist loving Christmas?! Apart from Scrooge, obvs.
This season has seen a massive rise in Fairisle items, ranging from leggings to gloves and many more items. It's cute, it's festive, it's warm and fashionable - it's perfect for this time of the year.
Fairisle isn't for everyone and the constant worry is what to wear it with in order to take the look from a 'knitted granny present' to 'season must have'. I thought I would show you all a few pieces I have been lusting after and what I would pair them with.

For those who prefer a more subtle Fairisle item then these pieces are made just for you, and all at reasonable prices of course!

NOTD - Sparkles

Hello all !

I apologise for my lack of Blogging, due to family reasons and birthday I've been quite preoccupied. But I'm back and have lots and lots to share with you all!

It was my 18th on Friday and so for the momentous occasion I decided to pimp up my nails.
Models Own is a brand I had never tried until now, however reading lots of amazing reviews I knew I had to get my hands on some and add it to my ever-expanding nail varnish collection. Having read Holly's review on Pink Fizz I had made up my mind about which type of varnish I wanted.
I headed on over to ASOS, my favourite online retailer and had a quick look at the several Models Own varnishes. I immediately spied Disco Mix and fell head over heels with the bright, attracting colours. Luckily for me it was reduced to £4 and with an exclusive 10% off I had, it made the total price £3.60 inc P&P - bargain!!
I used the glitter varnish in two different ways - a simple everyday look and a party look. The glitter is is quite opaque which means it needs a good 2/3 coats to get full coverage.

Have you tried any Models Own varnishes?
Do you like glitter?

NOTD - Gone a bit dotty!

Iya Girlies!

Just a quick shout out to a Blogging newbie Chelsea, cotton-sox.blogspot.com who has recently become a new fellow Beauty&Fashion Blogger. Please head on over to have a look and a follow!

Here are my nails today, fancied something different and thought why not jump onto the whole 'Spotty Nails' bandwagon! Used a kirby grip to do the dots, personally think it's turned out quite well. The base colour looks a lilacy colour but its really a grey with lilac undertones, damn you lighting! Also went for the 'Index a different colour' look and decided to use pink (Cancer awareness month! - Hope you're all sporting a bit of pink!)

Ebay fanatic

Its me again!

I have recently taken to Ebay to find some fashion bargains seeing as my usual shop, goold old Topshop, has closed down for a lovely revamp!

I already have a black bodycon skirt but mine has had lots of wear and now flicks out at the back, URGH! So I trawled the web for hours with hope of finding something that really stood out. Ebay have lots of whole-sale stores, usually based in the Middle East, where they sell items from savvy boutiques at low prices.

I found a Camel coloured bodycon skirt for £4.89 + £1.89 pp, I think this is a complete bargain and snapped it up straight away. The shop is called The Amber Orchid, it has various pieces of clothing so be sure to take a peek!

My skirt came the next day despite not paying for next day delivery which really made me happy and came in wonderful condition. The skirt also had a tag for Envy Boutique, which until now I had never heard of but the name sounds very deluxe!

Overall if there is anything else I need for a quick fashion fix I will be heading over to their store and have a nosey around!

Have your bodycon skirts flicked out at the back?
Know any good boutiques/stores on Ebay?
